FSX Tupolev Tu-154M

The Project Tupolev Tu-154M brings a classic Soviet tri-jet to FSX with streamlined engine autostart and shutdown, five Aeroflot and S7-era liveries, and an authentic Soloviev D-30KU-154 sound set. A detailed 2D panel includes the Tu-154 autopilot plus an optional 737-style view, wing views, and a smoke system.

The Project Tupolev Tu-154 M for FSX. This is the PT Tu-154M, that has been modified by Thomas Ruth. The main mod is the simpler startup. Unlike most of PT's planes, with this package, you just press your engine autostart key and the engines go, same for shutting down. Includes five liveries: Aeroflot current livery, Aeroflot Soviet livery, Aeroflot Don new livery, Siberia old livery, and S7 new livery. Also comes with a unique Soloviev D-30KU-154 engine sound set, which are very accurate with the real plane, a realistic 2D cockpit, with a 737 autopilot view if you click on the views tab and select, but it also has the Tu-154 autopilot system in the panel. No VC, but has wing views, as well as a smoke system. This is full ownership of Project Tupolev, and moded by Thomas Ruth and Alexander Huff.

Installation:

Simply copy the contents of each folder into their corresponding folders in the FSX root folder.

Repaints:

THIS IS NOT MY PLANE! I am simply making easier for you all to get. Repaint policy is up to the Project Tupolev Team. if you want to repaint, I think it's ok. Please, I would like more textures for this plane, specifically:

  • Pulkovo
  • Rossiya
  • UT Air

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Missing Manuals

This is a beautifully done airplane. It is easy to see that a lot of work went into this aircraft, the VC is like high quality payware. Unfortunately, the manuals are missing. I checked every folder and I don't see them. It says in the readme file that it comes with both and English and Russian manuals, but I see none. I could probably get by if the aircraft's labeling was in English, but everything is written in acrylic, so I have no way to tell what the switches do.

    Very nice plane. However it seems that the needle of the navigation doesn't move at all making navigation and ils approaches impossible.
