FSX Piper L-4 Grasshopper "Rosie the Rocketer"

Piper L-4 Grasshopper “Rosie the Rocketer” brings Maj. Charles “Bazooka Charlie” Carpenter’s famous WWII liaison aircraft to life with USAAF-era textures and authentic markings for FSX. Designed as a repaint, it requires PA18_V3.ZIP by J.E. Narcizo to fly the aircraft in a matching virtual cockpit.

To install:

1. Copy the "texture.USAAF" folder to your "Piper PA18" folder.
2. Add the following section to the aircraft.cfg file in the "Piper PA18" folder. Remember to change the "x" in [fltsim.x] to the next available number.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Nice to see this paint scheme. We have the original aircraft in our museum, Valiant Air Command in Titusville, Fl.
