This is the beautiful Tim Conrad design OV-10A with a few small tweak so it will run in FSX without problem. This package contain all the update from M. Conrad and includes the following liveries. USN, USMC, 20th TASS, Moroccan Air Force 1980's, 40 Squadron, Barcelona,Venezuelan Air Force 1973. Panel cfg tweaked for FSX, thumbnails added. Full package with working VC, etc. Tested for FSX, Panel updates and thumbs by Danny Garnier, Bourbon-Lancy, France.

This OV-10 Pack contains two new paint schemes, two new models, each with different loadouts, new origional model to correct minor bug, and new ,cfg file to correct fuel entry error and to combine all the models and textures.

1)After downloading the zip, locate it, and extract the file to a temp folder.

2)You will find three folders, one named OV-10A_MAF,one named OV-10A_VAF, and one named model, and you will find some loose files, like this readme file.

3) Now listen carefully kids... Open the OV-10A_MAF folder and copy the model and texture folders over to your existing OV-10A_V2 folder.

4) Now open the OV-10A_VAF folder and copy the model and texture folders over to your existing OV-10A_V2 folder, just like you did with the MAF folders.

5) Finally, copy the folder simply named model over to the OV-10A_V2 folder, overwriting the old model folder.

6) Now for the loose files. Copy the .air file and .cfg files over to the OV-10A_V2 folder, overwriting the older files.

7) Now you should have five OV-10's to choose from in FS9.

8) Double check steps 1 thru 7 to make sure everything went according to plan:)

BEFORE YOU FLY!.......
See steps 1 to 8 above:)

NOTAMS:
The folder named model is a new copy of the origional model. This corrects the color of the upper beacon on the tailplane. I know I'm being picky, but it was just bugging me too much!

The model.maf folder is for the Morrocan AF model with later OV-10D style IR suppresor exhausts, and 20mm (or .50 cal) gun pod.

The model.vaf folder is for the Venezualan AF model with no rocket pods, but still with droptank.

The new .cfg file will integrate all the models and paints into one .cfg file.

By juggling textures and tweaking the .cfg file, you can have different loadouts on the different models. For example tranfering the USAF textures to the vaf model will give you a USAF plane with out rocket pods, but still with droptank. By tweaking and editing the .cfg file, you wont lose any models or paints.

If something is "missing", or "wrong", oh well, you got it for a good price:-) For a one-man shop, I think I do pretty well:-p

As for repaints, new versions, etc. I have no idea if, when, or what. So please, no "placing orders".
These files shouldn't harm your computer, but I accept no responsability for their use and effect.
Play with it,do repaints, give to friends or enemies(SEE BELOW), but do not make money off of it without my express approval. This also goes for any other peoples' files in this release.

Also,if you want to re-post the plane, or its repaints, on your site, or another site, please ask me first:) I usually say yes, unless my plane been too corrupted or hacked by you or others.

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Its amazing!!! Everything you would expect from Mr Conrad... Dam perfect.

But I'm having a problem, I think I did the instal properly but idk.

The problem is I cant switch the fuel system feed from Exteral tank too internal tanks. And I'm geting the red external tank warning light when the tank is low on fuel. The switch to change from external too internal doesn't seem clickable for me.

What did I do wrong? Help from someone knowledgable would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with the previous two, great sim, nice to fly. While in the USMC, spent some time at New River, NC, and enjoyed working on it. Sheet metal mech's dream, easy to repair. The sim is just as nice, right down to the turbo prop sound. It is a little squirly at first so easy on the yoke, and be patient, small easy movments until you get used to it. Enjoy!, I am.....
