PIA Cargo ATR 42-500F repaint for AP-VAD brings Pakistan International Airlines’ 2010 cargo scheme to life with the bold flag tail and sweeping gold-and-green fuselage stripe, aligned with Virtual PIA’s fictional SpeedEx operations. Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, the complete package includes an opening cargo door, clickable virtual cockpit, and authentic ATR sounds.

PIA Cargo ATR 42-500F, registration AP-VAD. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) ATR42-500 in cargo livery for virtual airline Virtual PIA (VPIA). VPIA operates a fictional cargo branch, Virtual SpeedEx, which is starting operations to new destinations with two new ATR aircraft. This repaint depicts AP-VAD, which wears PIA's 2010 livery with the new tail depicting a large Pakistani flag, and golden and green stripe running all the way to the end of the fuselage. Model by F. Sanchez-Castaner features opening cargo door. This pack also includes clickable virtual cockpit and ATR sound, courtesy Claus Vendelboe Holmberg. Specially tested for FSX. Complete pack, requires no external downloads. Base texture by Edward Cox, repaint by Ahmed Ahsen and Kim Green exclusively from Virtual PIA.

Please follow these steps carefully, otherwise the aircraft will not work properly.
1. Extract the folder Virtual PIA ATR 42-500F AP-VAC to your FS2004/Aircraft directory.
2. Extract the contents of "Gauges" to your FS2004/Gauges. Inside are files with the extension .cab such as FSC.ATR.FL.CAB (.cab extension may be hidden in your system). DO NOT DE-COMPRESS IT!!! DO NOT EXTRACT THE FILES INSIDE IT!!! JUST COPY THE FILE INTO THE GAUGES FOLDER, *****AS STATED ABOVE******. FS2004 WILL TAKE CARE OF FINDING TEH BMP AND XML INSIDE IT. IF YOU DECOMPRESS IT, MOST PROBABLY HALF OF THE GAUGES WILL BE MISSING IN YOUR PANEL.
3. Extract the contents of "Sounds" to your FS2004/Sound.
4. Extract the contents of "Effects" to your FS2004/Effects.
5. That's it!

USERS:
1. Extract the complete folder to your FSX / Simobjects / Airplanes folder.
2. Extract contents of the gauges folder to your FSX/ Gauges folder. Do NOT extract the contents of files with .cab extension, rather extract them as a whole.
3. Extract contents of Sound folder EXCEPT "sound.cfg" file to your FSX/Sound folder.
4. Extract effects to your FSX/Effects.
5. That's it!

Open FS, look under Aerospatiale ATR and Enjoy!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

The outside of the plane looks amazing the 2d cockpit is set at a pretty bad angle looking almost directly at the ground vs infront of you. I don't know if I did something wrong but my VC cockpit is horribly miscolored a bright white and metalic color for everything.
