Finally found a copy of our A380. I always get amazed when I see it. We built it 4 years BEFORE (!) the real one was rolled out. Guess we nailed it pretty good.

As AI aircraft it is really impressive when it takes off and land - I can promise you. Uses a lot of runway, so make sure you have one that's long enough.

Unfortunately, only one livery on thi sone:

- Lufthansa

However, everyone are of course free to repaint these AI aircraft. If you do send it over and I'll include it in these packs!

Special thanks to all designers and repainters that have contributed at XPFW over the years. To many to mention, but you will find their names and original livery's and aircraft in the XPFW registry's. They all deserve credit for this and I hope this will result in these aircraft will get an extended life.

More types will follow.

INSTRUCTIONS

Basically you treat these aircraft as you would any other aircraft:
- Unzip the file.
- Place the folder containing the AI aircraft anywhere you like inside the "Aircraft" folder.
- Start the v10 sim
- Goto Aircraft/Aircraft & Situations
- Click on the tab "Other aircraft"
- Add/replace the default aircraft with these - as many as you like...
- Done

Editorial

One thing that has always irritated me about X-Plane and flight simulators in general is the AIs lack of intelligence. When you are flying around it certainly pays off to see aircraft going with you that look awesome and actually manage to fly like professionals. Does it not kill the atmosphere for you a little when you are flying around and see the equivalent of junior pilots everywhere?

The AI level has to be better and, with this excellent package, you can make sure that your fellow pilots are going to be able to fly properly. This takes the A380 and totally alters the way that the pilots fly and think, making it so much easier for everyone who is flying in the X-Plane world to get to grips with how it all works and also to make the world seem a bit more realistic in general.

This has been four years in the making and when you see it in action you can quickly see why; it manages to capture that style and that class perfectly, using many hours of hard work and reading around to make sure that the aircraft they are using fly and take off in the correct manner. After all, presentation and style is so incredibly important in this situation and you need to start getting used to how the AI will be flying as it’s no longer just an extra in the background.

No, with the help of this mod the AI have a genuine reason and purpose. The only thing I was let down by was the fact that Lufthansa livery is the only one that is being used, so there is a lack of variation in the planes. To be honest, though, I would rather that than what we have previously!

This really does do everything that it can to capture the AI side of things perfectly ensuring that they can feel as if they are genuine professionals. As I said, many years went into the making of this and it becomes quite apparent very quickly. A simple look around will give you a basic understanding of what this brings to the table, making it really easy for you to understand what you are seeing. Now you won’t be quite so puzzled about the goings on in the world as AI Boeing A380 aircraft will now fly every bit as well as you.

The level of fine tuning that has gone into this is truly outstanding – I was massively impressed when looking over the files and the changes that were added. This is one of the most impressive AI packages I have installed in some time, and thoroughly recommend that you do the same as soon as you possibly can!

Am unable to set up A380 in Xplane 11. Kindly advise steps to make the aircraft viewable in AI. Your instructions are only valid for X plane 10. So we need some help. Thanks Adrian
