Installation:

After unzipping the file move the "PL-4" folder into your \SimObjects\Airplanes folder.

Move the .FX files to the root Effects folder. If you already have my Thorp T-18 you should already have these files.

When Flying:

  • From the external view the control stick does not move.
  • The canopy reflections in the VC view are toggled on/off by clicking the windshield tubing.
  • Clicking the button on the pilot's control stick opens/closes the ATC window.
  • Clicking the canopy latch (left side near engine controls) opens & closes the canopy.
  • Clicking the compass face toggles the pilot's sunglasses.
  • Clicking the area at the base of the control stick toggles the pilot.
  • "Shift + 1" brings up a pop-up GPS.
  • The gauge lighting can be adjusted using the dimmer switch.

Known Issues:

From the VC the wingtip lighting effects vanish once you are about 50 feet of the ground. It has to do with the short wingspan coupled with a limitation in the sim. It's not something I can fix.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Hey this is a great model, just wondering is there any plans to make the older version of the PL-1 or the ROC licensed version of the PL-2B?
