Editorial
As someone who tends to spend a lot of larger aircraft, this was something that caught my eyes almost immediately. Although it lacks certain features that you could use such as virtual panels, you can easily install other panel sets into it.
I never bothered to do so as I was more interested in the model being of the quality I needed. It’s safe to say that after several hours of working around the skies with this model, I can quite happily confirm that this looks every bit the machine that it should.
The Design
The model deign is excellent, adapting an old mode into FSX and making sure it still look as good as its new contemporaries. This makes a big difference to the design and also ensures that you can get to grips with the style of the aircraft. The livery used looks brilliant and does a great job of selling the aircrafts style.
As far as the design goes, I was thoroughly impressed; not many accounts can carry the same depth as this model does, really giving you an opportunity to see what the aircraft has to offer from this perspective – the designers have done excellently.
The Performance
Although it does not come with a virtual panel or extras like this, and it uses the old 737-800 panels, it still works perfectly well. Although you might have been hoping for a bit more in terms of functionality or added performance, this is still a piece of cake to work with.
However, one of the most important factors about the style of this aircraft is to make sure that it carries the scale and size and this does a wonderful job of that.
All of this comes together in the most effective manner possible making something that’s genuinely realistic and carries the authenticity as it should.
The Sound
The sounds are excellent, too. The work done by Mike Maarse on this side of the aircraft is really impressive, helping to sell the image and the atmosphere of the interior perfectly. The whole thing sounds excellent, and comes together in the most effective manner to really help sell the performance and the design as one package.
The Verdict
As a design and a representation of the aircraft it’s supposed to be, this does a great job of capturing all of those little things that others might not expect to be significant. For me, though?
