Included are the combat actions reports typed up by Mr. McCauley to describe his encounters with the enemy. These were used by his command to determine his aerial victories. I have also created a word document with Photos and captions.

description=P-47D-20-RA flown by the 490th Bomb Group, England 1944 as a monitoring plane for the bombers. The "WW" in the aircraft serial number indicates that it has been retired to wor weary status.\n\nThe "Jug" was one of the most effective fighter/bombers of the war. It was fast, could outdive any other fighter on the planet, had excellent range, and packed huge firepower in its eight .50 caliber guns. It was superb at high altitudes, being equipped with a turbosupercharged, 2,300 HP engine that produced excellent power to over 30,000 feet.
