Editorial

This is a very simple mod and one that I can’t really say anything too much about – it adds a lovely sonic boom for all fighter jets that you might be using. This kicks in as soon as you reach Mach 1 so you can feel the true brunt of the aircraft rip and roar into action as you take off.

The XML sound gauges are created by the brilliant Bill Morad, whilst the gauge that you get to read the power of the boom comes from Manolo Medina.

A Piece of Cake

It’s a simple mod and one that takes a matter of seconds to install, but afterwards you are left with a brilliant feature that feels just excellent. It’s so simple and effective that I really don’t know why anyone who uses fighter jets on a regular basis would bother to keep doing so without installing this. It’s simplicity is its power.

One of the most impressive factors about this add-on, though, is just how effective it is. It’s really fluid and works without reducing performance or making things harder for you, just adding another little layer of reality to the picture and making something that is incredibly enjoyable for all.

If you want to enjoy the power of a sonic boom when you hit the right speed I can only recommend that you take the time out to try this mod – it’s about as good as you are going to find, offering something fun and engaging for all our military pilots and enthusiasts.
