description=Previously the Mamba test bed G-AHXU\/VX231,this airframe was passed on to Alvis at Coventry to test both the Leonides Major engine and nacelle for the then forthcoming HPR3 Herald.First flown at Woodley in this format on 15th March 1955,it eventually went to Armstrong Siddeley for further test work but was wfu and scrapped in October 1959 at Bitteswell.
