FS2004 Air Freight Ltd/Skyways DC-3

In 1967 Air Freight Ltd was formed to act as general sales agents for Skyways Coach-Air at Lympne. This activity continued for three years until in 1970 Skyways' three DC-3s were transferred to Air Freight Ltd but still operating in Skyways' livery. In January 1971 when Skyways Coach-Air went into liquidation the three DC-3's were painted into full Air freight livery and shortly afterwards they re-opened the former Skyways cargo routes from Lympne to Antwerp and Beauvais. In October 1972 they bought the ailing South West Airlines which gained them a fourth DC-3. In May 1975 a major reorganisation of the company resulted in the change of the company's name from Air freight Ltd to Skyways cargo airline Ltd. Two more DC-3's were acquired in late 1975 bringing the total DC-3 fleet to seven, making them the largest European operator of the type at that time. This set of repaints includes the Air Freight and Skyways Cargo Airline liveries.
