Installation Guidance

When your simulator folder resides at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X, you can extract the CRJ900_FSX.zip archive directly to C:\. This process automatically merges all necessary files into the appropriate directories.

Otherwise, if you have installed Microsoft Flight Simulator X elsewhere or under a custom path, simply decompress CRJ900_FSX.zip into a temporary folder. Then, move the included SimObjects folder into your primary simulator directory, ensuring it properly merges with the existing structure.

Developer Credits

Parts of this project, including the external model, come from the dedicated efforts of Project Open Sky. The paintwork highlights America West textures for a realistic aesthetic. Additionally, Christoffer Peterson contributed the engine sounds for maximum realism, and Brian C. Selb organized the complete package for streamlined distribution. This freeware release—shared on Fly Away Simulation—lets you experience an iconic regional jet within your favorite virtual skies without extra cost.
