100% accurate AFCAD2 file for San Francisco Int'l Airport, California (CA). Includes all airlines and ramp spots as they actually appear at SFO. About 175 spots total. By Chasen Richardson.
Well, i have yet to find an accurate AF2 file for KSFO. So I made one myself. I am sure that as of December 2004, these are accurate spots and are assigned to the accurate airlines.
All Cargo Airlines that come and go from time to time (such as Atlas, China Eastern, and Gemini) are all assigned to the spots where they park. I used David Bockholt's SFO file as the base, but changed a lot to improve it to look as SFO does now.
I added the Skywest (united express ramp), Coast guard helipads, the Signature Ramp for private aircraft, and the UA and AA maintenance ramps. ALL airlines that serve SFO are in the correct spot. I know this as a fact because I live in the hills above SFO and have a panoramic view of the airport, therefore can see where every aircraft is located. The 2 newest additions to SFO, Air Newzeland and Westjet, are both in their proper places. Overnight parking slots are also included.
There are about 175 spots in this file, and all are 100% accurate as of December 2004. I edited some taxiways to appear as they do in real-life and closed 1R and 1L for landing traffic. Although it does rarely happen, it happened 3 weeks ago and was really cool, its more realistic to close it so planes can land on 28L&R and depart 1R and 1L at the same time, which is how traffic at SFO flows 98% of the time.
