This freeware repaint provides a distinctive two-tone copper and white livery for the Piper PA-32RT-300 Lance II, originally developed by Paul Craig. It highlights a sleek exterior appearance and integrates seamlessly with the existing freeware base model. Below is a comprehensive overview of how to add this new scheme, the aircraft’s notable design points, and key installation steps. Repaint work has been meticulously created by Tom Tiedman.

Lance II Airframe Characteristics and Design

The Piper PA-32RT-300 Lance II emerged as an evolution of the Cherokee Six family, adopting a high-output 300-horsepower engine coupled with a retractable landing gear system for enhanced cruise speeds. Its most recognizable feature, a T-tail, contributes to improved stability in various flight conditions. This model typically accommodates six or seven occupants, making it a practical choice for personal travel or charter use. Pilots appreciate its moderate wing loading and balanced handling, essential factors when flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator X or Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.

Two-Tone Copper Livery Details

This custom texture set delivers a copper-accented fuselage on a white primary background. The vivid metallic finish highlights the purposeful lines of the Lance II while preserving a refined overall aesthetic. Thanks to the work of Tom Tiedman, this repaint emphasizes both realism and visual appeal, ensuring a memorable flight experience.

Additional Notes and Requirements

This package solely comprises the repaint files and excludes Paul Craig’s original Piper PA-32RT-300 Lance II model. To fly this aircraft, download the PCPA32RT-300.ZIP and PCPA32RT-300_UPDATE.ZIP freeware files from the Fly Away Simulation mod library, then follow the integration steps above. The Lance II’s generous cabin volume, solid cruise performance, and stable handling make it an excellent choice for simulated cross-country travel or instrument practice, especially if you appreciate straightforward control responses and a dependable airframe. Since the real-world version is often praised for utility and comfort, this repaint aims to reflect that balance in your simulator environment.
