In 1949, a swept wing version of the F-84 Thunderjet was created with the hope of bringing performance to the level of the F-86. The Republic F84F Thunderstreak was the first American-built swept-wing turbojet fighter-bomber. At least 2711 examples of this model were ultimately produced . Deliveries began in 1954 with most going to Tactical Air Command (TAC) and NATO. Alphasim freeware. Textures by Manuele Villa, Jim Domzalski and Paul J Kellens. Seven variants included. Upgrade to FSX Acceleration by A.F. Scrub.

Installation:

  • Unzip " FSX_F-84F_Thunderstreak " into a temporary file and move the "FSX_F-84F_Thunderstreak" folder into the main Aircraft directory.
  • Read instructions carefully when installing the gauges , say YES...when asked if the gauges sources should be trusted. If you say no....most of the gauges are not going to work!
  • Leave all gauges and .Cab in the FSX_F-84F_ThunderstreakI panel folder. (You can also move them to the flightsim\gauges folder.Let them overwrite original gauges, this cannot harm.)
  • Copy the effects into the flightsim\effects folder.
  • External views are changed with the 'A' touch.
  • Spoilers and canopy activated with standard key.
  • This plane flies equally well in FS2004/FSX/FSXacceleration.
