The C82 Packet was a twin-engined, twin-boom cargo aircraft designed and built by Fairchild Aircraft. It was used briefly by the United States Army Air Forces and the successor United States Air Force following World War II. The aircraft was named as a tribute to the packet boats that hauled mail, passengers and freight in Europe and its colonies. This package features a VC fix as the original VC by Daisuke Yamamoto as well as the FSX update by Michael E. Roberts displayed a major graphic VC issue (window struts hanging in the air, holes in the cockpit). The VC also has a lot more gauges now like radar and GPS and so looks more like the real C-82 panel. Other than the graphic issues the VC looks very detailed. New smoke effect has been added, too. Original model by Yamamoto and FSX update by Michael E. Roberts, VC fix, new VC configuration and smoke effect by Michael Pook.

Installation:

  • In the case you already have this aircraft, delete it and copy my C-82 folder into your FSX/ Simobjects/ aircraft directory.
  • Leave all the gauges in the panel folder and copy the smoke effect into your main effects directory (no need to overwrite).
  • That's it, enjoy your flight.

Important tip: The aircraft takes off very rapidly by itself so you have to use the elevator down trim shortly after take-off to keep it from stalling and from gaining altitude too fast.

May be don´t have a big detail, but this plane has a beatiful dynamics and soft fly , with elevator in 2.0 , don´t need flaps never . this plane up alone.. and his landing is soft and very controlled, recomended 100%. Al his controls are 100% functional
