Editorial

I decided to pick up his rather interesting look for the default Boeing 737-800, created by Jon Murchison. This mod is a great little take on some rather interesting coloring options that I have to admit I’d never seen used before on an aircraft!

However, the colors look the way that I would expect them to be in real-life, with strong blending and great work to make sure the colors look realistic instead of flat like other mods can make them look. This is a great little touch and one that brings the whole image of the aircraft to life, albeit it’s a little bit tough on the eyes at first.

I would not take that away from the mod, though – it’s obviously designed to be quite eye catching and fairly unique. One thing that I found with this, though, was that the repaints shine excellently so they are designed with the ability to work within the framework of the FSX graphical limits.

This makes sure that the whole aircraft looks great from the outside, as many mods don’t interact well with the dynamic shine effect that FSX is capable of putting off. With this, though, it looks far more convincing.

I would be quite happy to use these again, although they are definitely quite sore to look at from the outside! If you are looking for something that is nice and interesting, something that takes your interest, then it’s well worth enjoying the style and format of these aircraft mods. It might not be a revolution, but it’s a nice evolution for aircraft looks.

@gregory you must also copy the southwest b or g folders into your 737 folder.

Hello,

In the read me section of your download folder it says, after putting the folders in the 737-800 folders, to open the "texture.cfg." It won't open. It tells me "This file does not have a program associated with it....bla, bla. Any ideas? Thanks. DR
