Arizona photoreal scenery.The orthophotos and elevation data are derived from public domain sources (USGS). The derived work is copyright by myself and alpilotX for the overlays. You are free to redistribute and/or modify these so long as you do not use them for commercial purposes and you give credit to alpilotX and Forkboy2.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Unzip the file to your Custom Scenery Folder.
  2. Navigate to the textures sub-folder and double-click on ALL FIVE of the _ConvertToDDS.bat files. This will convert the JPGs to DDS format. You can run all five at the same time to speed up the conversion process. The conversion process may take several hours on slower computers. DO NOT run _Unneeded_File_Cleanup.bat yet.
  3. Confirm that you have 5,059 DDS files and 318 PNG files in the textures folder and that all of the DDS files are 10.6 megabytes. If this is true, then the conversion worked. If it's not true, then you did something wrong.
  4. You can now manually delete all of the JPG files, the DLL files, and nvcompress.exe. Or you can execute _Unneeded_File_Cleanup.bat to delete these unneeded files for you. Do NOT delete the PNG files.
  5. Update your scenery_packs.ini file as shown below. These should be the last two entries, unless you have other global scenery packages installed, in which case these would probably go above the other global packages.

  6. That's it, Enjoy.

If you have an AMD GPU, do not bother to download this. It will only work on Nvidia GPUs. It needs CUDA acceleration, which is only available on Nvidia GPUs.

Very nice work! I had to convert the instructions to get them to work on Linux but nothing major. Can I submit some Linux/Mac scripts for you to add?
