X-Plane 11/10 CEN3 Three Hills Airport Scenery

Three Hills Airport (CEN3) brings a detailed Alberta airstrip and the surrounding town into X-Plane 10 and X-Plane 11 with included orthophotos for a more authentic VFR environment. It requires current OpenSceneryX, MisterX, JB, RD, and The Handy Object Library, with Tree Lines and Farms North America V2 recommended.

Three Hills Airport is located 2 nm east-southeast of Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. Tested in X-Plane 10.51. Orthophotos are included for the airstrip as well as the town of Three Hills.

Aerial view of the airport and runway.Requires the latest versions of the following libraries:

  • The Handy Object Library (THE_HANDY_OBJECTS_LIBRARY.ZIP).
  • JB Library (JB_LIBRARY.ZIP), MisterX Library (MISTERX_LIBRARY.ZIP), OpenSceneryX (OPENSCENERYX.ZIP).
  • RD_Library (RD_LIBRARY.ZIP). The optional file: Tree Lines and Farms North America V2, (TREELINES_FARMS_NORTH_AMERICA_V2.ZIP) is highly recommended.

How to install this mod

X-Plane scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy into Custom Scenery

    Place the scenery folder into X-Plane 12/Custom Scenery/.

  3. Set scenery load order

    X-Plane loads sceneries top-to-bottom from Custom Scenery/scenery_packs.ini. Custom airports should be ABOVE mesh and ortho-imagery.

  4. Restart X-Plane

    Close X-Plane completely and relaunch. The new content loads automatically.

  5. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
