MSFS Asobo Aviat Husky A-1C Basic Performance Mod

Asobo’s Aviat Husky A-1C gets a punchier feel with a basic performance tune that boosts engine output across every included variant. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator, it increases torque and overall power for quicker acceleration and a snappier climb while leaving the rest of the aircraft configuration untouched; requires the payware Husky package.

Expert Overview

This all-in-one performance mod transforms the MSFS Asobo Aviat Husky A-1C into a more spirited bush plane by upgrading its engine power settings. It boosts overall torque, accelerates climb rates, and injects extra speed for those seeking a livelier flight without altering any other flight parameters. All Husky variants gain from these tweaks, making every takeoff and cruising leg feel snappy while still retaining the familiar handling dynamics.

From my experience, this mod maintains flight realism for simulator fans yet trades some authenticity for a more exhilarating ride. It delivers a playful punch during short-field operations and general bush flying, giving seasoned sim pilots a fresh perspective on the Husky’s capabilities. While it doesn’t reflect true-to-life specs, its focused enhancements provide a fun alternative for adventurous virtual aviators looking to spice up their next MSFS bush adventure.

This mod for the Asobo Aviat Husky A-1C is a quick patch and fix that provides increased engine performance throughout all of the variants available once installed.

Showing the prop, engine and front of the A1-C Husky in MSFS after installing the performance mod.The mod aims to increase the engine performance of the payware DLC Asobo Aviat Husky A-1C aircraft available for the Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 release.

This provides faster flight, more torque, and power by tweaking the configuration directives.  It's for enjoyment in the sim and does not reflect the performance of the aircraft in the real world.  It makes the virtual plane more snappy to fly.  It only changes the engine performance of the aircraft, it does not change any other parameters.

Developer's description

This is a BASIC Performance Mod for ASOBOS Husky-A1C. I only provide increased engine performance throughout all variants. It is fictitious, and by no means reflects actual Aircraft Performance. No other Parameters are affected.

Thank you to Carbo Prop for allowing me to use his Base Engine File!

Additional comments:

This mod does not contain the aircraft which must be purchased from ASOBO. Please do not distribute this file without my permission.

How to install this mod

MSFS add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Locate your MSFS Community folder

All MSFS add-ons live in the Community folder. Microsoft Store / Game Pass version: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\. Steam version: %APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community\. Tip: enable Developer Mode in MSFS to see your exact Community folder path.
  3. Copy the package into Community

Drag the extracted folder into your Community folder. Most MSFS add-ons follow this pattern.
  4. Restart MSFS

Close MSFS completely and relaunch. The new content appears in the Content Manager, on the World Map, or in the aircraft/livery selector.
  5. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
