Ahh, the F-22A Raptor. This is without a doubt one of my favorite aircraft of all time; just look at it!

It’s the very template of a quality aircraft for war and for military purposes. Its edgy looking, it flies with ease and it can really capture that sense of raw energy and power that many fighter jets are capable of carrying off. This is an aircraft that has no problems in being able to hit top speeds and also engage in some of the most challenging flying that you might ever take on – so, how does its virtual representation get on?

This package comes with a eight unique high quality texture packages that allow you to get the right look, and so that you can pick the right choice of squadron for your personality and for your overall preference. You’ll get to choose from the likes of the Black Widows and the Fighting Eagles, making it very easy to get the help that you need in choosing a popular and famous design, allowing you to fly around in some very impressive textures that carry the correct look and feel compared to their real-life counterparts. As far as realism goes, this is a massively impressive mod.

But what about the actual quality of the performance? Does it fly as well as it looks?

The main thing to report is that yes, it does! It’s very impressive and realistic. As a massive fan of the aircraft I knew what I was looking for, and it was much more realistic in terms of the closeness to the real thing compared to many of the others models of the Raptor that I have taken on. In terms of its quality and its realism it was an incredibly strong attempt at doing it just right.

However, the thing that I loved the most was the virtual cockpit. It was very easy to use even when you are flying at relatively rapid paces, giving you a high level of control over the aircraft. The Raptor is a very impressive piece of kit and I was immediately able to tell the correlation between this and its real version. The Raptor is managed here perfectly, and it manages to give you all the help that you need in feeling right at home; if you have never flown an aircraft like this you’ll be in for a bit of a shock when you get in!

That is a real point of positivity, though, as the aircraft itself is a massively challenging beast to take on. It requires a significant level of self-control and respect In terms of the limits that it can reach, and this also ensures that you need to take every moment in the cockpit seriously. However, given the fact that I comes with every feature intact and makes the perfect aircraft for dogfighting and air to ground assaults, you can see why this unique piece of kit was made so incredibly hard to fly!

I have FSX from the box. I downloaded and installed this Cessna 173 add-on and learned that all the texture folders have bitmap files (.bmp). these textures don't work. I checked the working textures of other aircraft and in the texture folder are DDS files (.dds) instead. So the aircraft show up as totally white. I'm open to suggestions in case I'm missing something...

Great looking exterior models, with a fair VC but NO afterburner or thrust vectoring. So it didn't last long in my hangar before being deleted.

This isn't the actual F-22A in service today, its the YF-22 in the testing stage.

This plane needs some detail adjustmenst, I think. Flies great, just has poor detail.

Great job! The virtual cockpit is very goos, and it's also very convinient. I love the fact the here are multiple camo styles because it looks badass. The only flaw I saw was that there was no flame effects or lighting when the afterburner is tunred on.

the best plane ever. it works great, but if youre looking to open the bomb bay doors. they dont work. i give it a 10!!!!
