Editorial

Whilst using a flight simulator is relatively simple once you get by the basics, it can become a bit of a chore from time to time trying to install mods and additions if they don’t come adequately prepared for installation. When you need to do a manual installation, it can sound very difficult if you aren’t someone with a wide knowledge of computer literacy.

However, the good news is that you don’t need to know very much at all, and even someone like myself who has a rather limited knowledge of the backend of computer workings was able to learn this very simply.

I’d always had a bit of an issue with getting new FSX aircrafts to work, so it was always nice to know that it was actually very simple to do – the majority of the time you were just dragging and dropping things, and putting items in the right folder. Then, I came across the FSX Aircraft Installer and it took away all the need for methodology.

Instead of having to keep a notepad document giving me all the help I needed, I was able to download this software and install it with just a few clicks. The simple executable file takes just a few minutes to run through all of the stuff that you need to know, and puts everything into the right location. Now, you can install the FSX Aircraft Installer in a couple of minutes and make porting your latest purchases easier than ever before.

Installing Projects

This is the best part about the software, though! It makes the installation and maintenance of projects and new mods incredibly simple. Rather than having to get the method down just right with the manual installations, you can jump beyond all of this and install the files in question right away. Simple start up the software, select what you need to from the bullet point list and locate the directory of where the files you want to install are located.

Now, it will go through the entire process and put everything together; you won’t need to learn what directories use which file format, and you’ll make it incredibly simple to move things forward and give yourself something so much easier to deal with.

Taking out the difficulty form the installation is always a nice aspect, so if you are like myself and want to just get the package paid for, installed and ready to play with you can now use the excellent FSX Aircraft Installer to great effect. I’m a massive fan of these little apps that have become so big within the community as they can help to really make the experience so much easier.

Whilst the people making these mods are coding and creative geniuses, it can sometimes be a little bit difficult for a flight simulation and PC novice to install the files at the first time of asking. Now, you can take away this challenge and start using your latest downloads right away.

UNFORTUNATELY.....This program was written for Windows 7 and does not work with Windows after that.

VERY sadly, the gentleman who wrote it has passed away. Therefore unless one of the programmers here can, or maybe has revised it to perform for FSX, it is a broken tool.

Hey Guys if you want a program like this. Email me at alex.ashton@live.co.uk. I've been wanting a project to work on that isn't to do with minecraft. And i could make a program like this much simpler and a drag and drop installer.

No vote yet. I'm new to downloading. What do I do after I download, to get my planes into FSX?
