This repainted package brings a distinctive look to a vintage single-seat cruiser originally introduced in the late 1940s. Created for Microsoft Flight Simulator X enthusiasts seeking an authentic representation of the classic M-18C airframe, it captures the unique style of aircraft registration N125C. Developed by Tim Conrad and painted by John Barner, this repaint set offers a carefully crafted livery reflecting the genuine appearance of the real-world model. Lovers of light aircraft will appreciate the Mite’s iconic layout, recognized for its low-wing profile combined with nimble handling characteristics.
Key Aspects of the M-18C Airframe
- Lightweight Design: This petite aircraft is known for its compact fuselage and reduced overall mass, which allows efficient flight performance.
- Single-Seat Cockpit: A solitary pilot station offers an immersive experience, making the Mite a sought-after option for personal recreational flying.
- Classic Styling: Post-war inspiration is evident, with a configuration that blends traditional aerodynamics and innovative engineering for its time.
Installation Guidelines
- Prior to applying these textures, ensure you have Tim Conrad’s base model installed. The original file is required, and it is available in the Fly Away Simulation mod library.
- Extract the contents of this new repaint package to a temporary folder.
- Locate the M-18C aircraft folder in your “Airplanes” directory. Copy the included texture.N125c folder from your temporary location directly into the main M-18C folder.
