FSX CeraSim Cessna 188 Ag Wagon/Truck Update

CeraSim Cessna 188 Ag Wagon/Truck Update. An update to the glass to use the VC. Also adds a handheld GPS to the 2D windows, everything else seems to work fine. By Josh Jones.

I found this aircraft a week or so ago, after looking high and low for it for months. I had to update the glass to use the VC, and added a handheld GPS to the 2D windows, everything else seems to work fine. This is a great model. My father flies a '74 Ag Wagon O-470 (230 hp n/a) and has since the early 1980's and he upgraded from the 150 hp fixed pitch O-320 Pawnee he was flying then. I've worked around this airplane most all my life.

From all I can tell, CERA has stopped supporting this sim aircraft all together and are only producing helicopters now. I don't know if they freewared it (I didn't pay for it, but almost none of the site where I found it was in English) so I'm just including the glass textures for overwrite.

Install:

The default glass textures wouldn't work in the 3D cockpit, so I replaced them with textures I robbed from Eduardo Fadul's freeware Mig-29 Fulcrum. I use them for this purpose alot, as they seem to work ok for overwrites for glass that is black in FSX.

Note:
If the red tint on the exterior glass bothers you, use the interior file for both textures (Rename a copy of "inter_win_c" as "exter_win_t" and overwrite.) I did this on some of the paints (the yellow ones in particular) because it looks better.

the thumbnail is from repaints by Andrew Raney, who did not answer emails at the address provided on the repaints. these repaints are available at AVSIM, under the names "csa188ar", "csa1970", and "csa4188".

For the panel update, I simply added a default handheld GPS, in an additional window. Copy the "Cessna_Truck_hopper" to your FSX/Simobjects/Airplanes folder, blah blah blah, you know the drill.

I know this is a lame update, I am really just trying to put up a flag about finding this model for free. Somebody build us some nice cropdusting bases around the country at little strips and regionals, please.
