FSX Fix Madeira LPMA Scenery

Corrected airport elevation data brings Madeira LPMA and Porto Santo LPPS closer to real-world profiles, improving runway alignment, terrain transitions, and approach visuals around both islands. MSFS did a poor job at LPMA Madeira and LPPS Porto Santo airports elevation.

This file fixes these elevations to a more realistic level.

Very important read instructions carefully.

INSTALLATION:

Unzip file copy both .bgl Madeira LPMA and Porto Santo LPPS and put it in *:\Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\scenery.

Go to *:\Flight Simulator X\Scenery\502\APX43200 (remove this file APX43200).

Put it somewhere safe outside any scenery folder this is very important.

No need to activate if you follow the example above, restart FSX and enjoy.

This scenery was created using FSX_Planner by zBlueSoftware.

This scenery is FREEWARE.

If you're not happy with it just delete the files and replace the default one.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    I installed it as per instructions. The runway is below the ground level. I penetrated the visual ground level only to fall further down.

    Every time I fly from mainland Europe or the UK, I keep crash landing into the runway on landing. But when taking off and landing back at the airport, everything is fine.
