Barnstable Municipal Airport (KHYA) scenery for FSX refreshes Hyannis, Massachusetts with expanded GA parking, reworked aprons, updated airport buildings, and a repositioned control tower. Stock-object detailing adds static aircraft, vehicles, and other scene fillers, with layout tweaks guided by current diagrams and satellite reference for a more authentic ramp and airfield feel.

Barnstable Municipal Airport (KHYA), Hyannis, Massachusetts (MA). Adds GA parking, replaces and adds builds, moves the tower and adds eye candy. By Jim Cook.

Barnstable Municipal Airport Scenery.

Here is an improved version of the stock Barnstable Municipal Airport. I added several GA parking spaces. I replaced some buildings and added others, replaced and moved the tower, and added quite a bit of "eye-candy" in the form of static airplanes and vehicles, and other filler objects. Added some aprons and ajusted others.

I use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files AFX_KHYA_JC.bgl and KHYA_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
