Arlington Municipal Airport (KGKY) in Texas gets a refreshed, more lifelike layout for FSX with expanded and repositioned GA parking, rebuilt roads, a replaced terminal, added FBO and hangars, Fire Station #12 with trucks, plus trees, static aircraft, vehicles, parking lots, and lighting, using only stock objects.

Arlington Municipal Airport (KGKY), Texas (TX). An improved version with added and moved GA parking, new roads, Fire Station #12 with truck, replaced terminal, additional FBO and hangars, added trees, static vehicles and more. By Jim Cook.

Arlington Municipal Airport Scenery.

Here is an improved version of the stock Arlington Municipal Airport. I added and moved GA parking spaces. I added new roads with Fire Station #12 and fire trucks. Removed and replaced the terminal building and added additional FBO/hangar buildings. Added trees, static airplanes, parking lots with cars and light poles.

I also use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files AFX_KGKY_JC.bgl and KGKY_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
