Here are the first of the East Kansas airfields for FSX. These are similiar to my prior uploads (WKS-SZ-1 and WKS-SZ-2 and WKS-SZ-3 and WKS-SZ-4 and WKS-SZ-5 and WKS-SZ-6 and WKS-SZ-7). This will begin a series of airfields East of and including Metro Wichita.
They are not meant to be 100% accurate. They are made using all FSX "native" objects, so you do not need any additional libraries or textures. They are very "frame rate friendly". As I stated above, they are meant to be fun and give you something to look at when you land at one of these airports, not to be "photo real". And, yes, there are some strange things at a few of the fields. (I get bored easily!)
I have corrected some of the runways and taxi ways based on the KS Dept of Aeronautics data and the Wichita Sectional, but please do not email me saying "The tower is in the wrong place" or "Taxiway ABC is not positioned correctly". Or "Why would the Concorde be parked at a grass field in Kansas." Like I stated, these are not meant to be 100% accurate, just fun.
There may be lots better scenery available for some of these fields. If so, use it!
Just copy the files into your FSX Addon Scenery/Scenery folder. That's it! Hangar and building placment is approximate. Some of the fields have NDB's. If so, the frequency is included after the airport listing below. I hope you enjoy flying around (and landing!) in East Kansas.
