Editorial

Having decided to pick this up to give it a try before I head off to Singapore in real life, I was impressed. The developer of this module has gone a long way to make sure that it feels fresh, exciting and fun to fly. If you are like me and want to fly a Singapore Airlines model that is on part with what you would expect then try this out.

It’s a nice take on the old A340-500 aircraft, offering plenty of improvement to the system. The efficient and innovative nature of the A340 aircraft makes this popular with most, but I loved the design especially.

Close to Reality

The first thing that I would note is just how close the model is to th real thing. This model flies the famous Singapore-LA lane, one of the longest routes in the world for aviation travel. The developer the has taken a lot of care to add in details that capture the depth and detail very well. It’s got great little touches to the model as well as a huge amount of improvement to the actual flight efficiency.

All in all, this flies fairly close to how you would expect. Not only that, but it provides you with a flight that is quite easy to fly. If you have used an A340 model before then the cockpit should feel like home. In truth, there’s nothing to revolutionary about this mod – it just does all of the needed things well.

The cabin especially has been under immense change and improvement. The old cabin was quite mediocre if you are used to default FSX models. This, though, adds a bit of character and life to the aircraft itself. With up to 9,000 nautical miles of flight capable with this aircraft, you should quickly notice that the cabin isn’t the only impressive feature.

As such this has all the capacity needed to hit your destination in a timely manner. The dynamics are fair and the flight flies as it should, with the strengths and limitations that should exist perfectly evident here.

It’s essentially an updated version of the A340 that many users will be used to using. Therefore, with this mod, you should have no problem in buying into and enjoying using this aircraft after a short adjustment period.

A Simple Solution

This is a system that offers you all the help that you could possibly need in making sure that you appreciate and understand the challenge of flying such a large aircraft. It will offer a good level of authenticity whilst at the same time offering you an easy route to understand just how you can fly it as a beginner.

It might not be the most in-depth take on the Airbus you have ever used, but it’s very good. The attention to detail and the loving care that has gone into including all of the little features should be noted. I would happily recommend using this for fans of Singapore Airlines, the A340-500, and trying out new experiences!
