Super Traffic Board v2.2 For FSX Released

Super Traffic BoardFlying W Simulation is delighted to announce the availability of SuperTrafficBoard V2.2 (STB). Marking another significant advance in the technology for displaying and interacting with your favourite AI aircraft, STB introduces a host of exciting new features and fixes to minor bugs found in previous releases.

Highlights include support for the popular add-on "AIRound", enabling customers to activate the exciting AI camera angles available with AIRound from the STB flight display.

Improving your flight experience, STB monitors AI traffic movements around the user aircraft and automatically moves any conflicting aircraft to an arrival stand during your final approach.

Ever wanted to follow an AI flight from departure to arrival? With STB you can already do that, and now in V2.2 you can listen to all Air Traffic communications between the AI aircraft and ATC for the entire trip.

And the best news of all, this is a free upgrade for all existing SuperTrafficBoard customers!

Other changes include:

  • New custom filters to limit the flights on display, applied after your choice of airport and arrivals, departures, or "everything".
    • Filter by operator type, e.g. show passenger flights only.
    • Filter by COM1 radio, e.g. show only those aircraft sharing the same radio frequency and hence the same Air Traffic Controller.
  • User issued Delete AI commands now remove the selected flight from the board rather than declaring it as a termination in certain circumstances.
  • Follow AI no longer uses the slew infrastructure. This eliminates the influence of any user control surface changes that may result in uncontrolled user aircraft movements following a Return to Base command.
  • Follow AI is restricted to spotter mode to avoid unexpected side effects on the user aircraft, such as an ATC flight plan cancelation.
  • Follow and Shadow AI are only available when crash detection is switched off in Flight Simulator, and when the user aircraft is on the ground.
  • The distance between the user aircraft and the AI aircraft being followed may now be configured.
  • The STB clock is updated every minute (compared to Flight Simulator) when time acceleration up to 4x is used.
  • New status indicators are included on the board, so you know exactly what is happening at any time.
    • User Aircraft in use by STB (for Follow or Shadow AI commands).
    • User Com1 Radio in use by STB (for Listening to AI ATC communications).
    • User Aircraft subject to flight control.
    • Auto select nearest airport is active.
    • AIRound view pending (when the selected AI aircraft enters the appropriate state).
  • Changed behavior of "auto select nearest airport" to better match the behaviour of the user aircraft.
  • Automatically configure the role of STB on the basis of user activity. If the user loads a flight plan, the board switched into pilot mode. If not, the board remains in observer mode.
