El Toro International Airport V3 reimagines KNZJ in Orange County as a modern commercial hub on the former Marine base, built for FS2002. Expect an LAX-scale layout with 91 gates, luxury hotels, offices, cargo and hangars, the Irvine Spectrum complex, a central park with parking structures, distinctive architecture, and removable static aircraft.

ETI....KNZJ By: Bill Melichar This is my proposed version of what a new large state of the art airport would look like on the former El Toro Marine base. It has been completely reworked and laid out to make the best use of the site for a commercial airport. It is comparable to LAX in size, and is still expandable. It has 91 gates, two luxury airport hotels, an airport office complex, a cargo area, hangar area, and the Irvine Spectrum entertainment complex. It also has a park running through the center of the airport with parking structures, and some unique building designs. Eye candy abounds here, and there are thirteen removable static aircraft located throughout the airport.

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Identify the target folder

    Different simulators use different folder structures. Check the readme to confirm where files should be placed.

  3. Copy files to the correct location

    Drag the extracted folder into the location the readme specifies. Most add-ons just need to be in the right folder.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
