This freeware package features a highly detailed rendition of the Boeing 767-300ER wearing the distinct Gulf Traveller paint scheme. Developed by iFDG and meticulously repainted by Dirk Kiefer, it integrates a default panel and sound suite, making it ready to fly in FS2004 right out of the box. The aircraft itself is part of Boeing’s twin-engine widebody lineup, bridging medium and long-haul roles with impressive performance capabilities.
Visual and Aerodynamic Highlights
The 3D exterior faithfully mirrors many real-world elements, including reflective surfaces for a realistic sheen. Animated components (control surfaces, flaperons, and high-lift devices) all move smoothly in response to pilot inputs, creating a credible flight model. iFDG has paid special attention to geometry and texture fidelity, ensuring that liveries—like this Gulf Traveller design—appear clean and accurately mapped.

Background on the Jetliner
The 767 lineage encompasses various passenger and freight models. In particular, the -300ER variant offers extended range and proven reliability for intercontinental routes. Engineered to seat around 218 to 269 travelers (depending on configuration), it remains popular globally. Its flight deck boasts an all-digital instrument suite (EFIS [Electronic Flight Instrument System]) and advanced avionics that optimize both safety and operational efficiency. Derivative freighter versions continue to use the same fuselage geometry, supporting effective cargo handling while retaining excellent aerodynamic efficiency.
Gulf Traveller and its Significance
Gulf Traveller, associated with Gulf Air, provided dedicated economy-class services, primarily targeting regional and long-haul destinations with a balanced mix of comfort and affordability. This specialized livery highlights the airline’s focus on streamlined operations and brand identity. The visual details have been reproduced to reflect the carrier's actual exterior branding with great accuracy.
Included Panel and Sounds
Alongside the external model, this package offers a comprehensive instrument panel and sound set approximating the real cockpit environment. While the layout follows the 767’s standard flight deck arrangement, there is ample scope for users to integrate additional custom panels if desired. The included sounds replicate typical engine acoustics heard from the twin powerplants, adding further authenticity to each flight.
Installation Instructions
- For Unofficial Textures
- Unzip all files directly into your FS2002 (or FS2004) Aircraft folder. Once properly extracted, load the simulator, select the Boeing 767-300 painted in Gulf Traveller livery, and begin flying.
- For Official Textures
- Run the Autoinstaller provided in the download package. This utility places all components in the correct directories automatically. After completion, launch the simulator and choose the newly installed variant for your next flight.
All components, including the aircraft model, are the original work of iFDG, while the repaint is courtesy of Dirk Kiefer.
