Step-by-Step Installation

To install the Gulf Air Airbus A340-300, follow these structured guidelines:

1. Decompress the toma343.zip folder to a chosen location (for instance, your desktop).
2. Copy the sound and sound.ai folders from the default “Airbus_A321” directory in Microsoft Flight Simulator X and place them into your new Tom_A340-300 folder.
3. Within the default “Airbus_A321/panel” folder, locate these specific files:
   • airbus_a321_panel_background.bmp
   • airbus_a321_panel_background_night.bmp
   • Airbus_A321.cab
   Then copy them into the Tom_A340-300/panel.340 folder, ensuring no other files are moved.
4. From the default “Airbus_A321/texture” folder, copy the following texture files into Tom_A340-300/texture.GA:
   • Airbus_A321_1_C.dds
   • Airbus_A321_2_C.dds
   • Airbus_A321_3_C.dds
   • Airbus_A321_4_C.dds
   Leave all other texture files behind.
5. Create a new folder named tom340 inside your FSX/gauges directory.
6. Extract the contents of Airbus_A321.cab (taken from the default FSX aircraft panel) into the newly created FSX/gauges/tom folder.
7. Transfer all files from the Tom_A340-300/gauges folder into FSX/gauges/tom340, overwriting when prompted.
8. Move the entire Tom_A340-300 folder into your primary FSX aircraft directory.
9. Unpack the contents of the lighteffects folder into your main FSX/effects folder.
