About this aircraft:

This repaint for the new Virtavia "A-4 Skyhawk for FSX" package represents an A-4E of VC-1 (Composite Squadron One) based at NAS Barbers Point, Hawaii in the mid-1970s. During this time the A-4's with VC-1, also known as the "Blue Alii" or Warriors, had a blue flash on the tail and a blue band on the mid-fuselage with a ring of yellow stars and the traditional Hawaiian warrior head. The warrior head was also the symbol of the Hawaiian Primo Brewing Company and began being applied with permission to VC-1 aircraft beginning in 1965.

The TA-4J's of the unit also had blue nose coloring. This is a much more colorful scheme and I have found photographs of one A-4E with this same coloring. That aircraft is the subject of this set of textures.

About these textures:

These textures are intended for use with the Virtavia "A-4 Skyhawk for FSX".

Since Virtavia included flight models for each of the 22 different weapons configurations included in the package it is a quite complex folder arrangement. I have found the following the easiest way to make the textures available to as many weapons loads as you like but only have to install the textures once. As a demonstration this texture set includes the folders/files necessary to add a version with wing tanks and a version with a belly tank.

By studying these files and folders you can easily add additional loadouts as you like.
