Editorial

One thing that could always be levelled at flight simulators – even FSX and P3D – is the lack of atmosphere. Sometimes, the world can feel a little flat and empty compared to the always-on madhouse that it really is. However, with this mod, you can add something pretty damn nice to the way that the world works; a shuttle launch.

With this shuttle launch scenery mod for FSX, you can get a nice scenery version of the popular mod. All that you need to do to make this take place is fly over to Cape Canaveral, where the event is going to take place.

Once you do, you’ll turn up and bear witness to an authentic recreation of a proper rocket launch. Stick around long enough and you’ll likely see two jetting off into the skies!

The Simplest Of Pleasures

The attention to detail is awesome, something that really took me by surprise. To the effects that pulse out the bottom of the rocket itself to the actual accuracy of how the launch works, this is very impressive indeed. It’s a very impressive piece of work and more or less always works like a charm.

Out of all of the features that I would recommend to add to your simulator, this would definitely be up there. Shuttle launch scenery additions are a nice thing to have, as it makes the world feel a little busier and more engaging than it would have without.

For that reason, this shuttle launch scenery add-on is well worth taking the time to install. Flying out to see something like this take place is just such a nice little change to a world that, beforehand, can feel rather static.

Again, it’s not bringing anything new or revolutionary to the table. It’s a nice scenery addition to have, making sure that the world around you has a bit more energy and life to it, rather than feeling dull or lacking any kind of activity going on.

Great detail work! I use a chase plane to follow the launch... no problems noted at all. Nice job!
