FSX Space Shuttle Launch Mission

Space Shuttle Launch Mission recreates a dramatic ascent into the upper atmosphere, then hands over control around 800,000 feet for a hands-on ride or continued guided sequence. Built with the FSX missions tool for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it features timed animations, effects, and mission scripting for an immersive spaceflight experience.

The setup is simple..just copy the (Microsoft flight simulator x) folder here and overwrite it to where you have FSX installed on whatever drive you have it installed. If not sure..then find your (Microsoft flight simulator x) folder and copy and paste all the folders from this ((Microsoft flight simulator x) folder into it and overwrite if needed..no FSX default files will be overwritten..but you may have one of my sound files from a previous Space shuttle installation.

Then..start up FSX (From a FRESH boot only) as there are animations and effect timings involved.. And go to (Missions) and load the mission (sPacE shUttlE launcH 08 fSx). You will have no control over the Launch..(Houston) does that..so just go along for the ride.. but once at 800,000 ft you will be given info as to if you wish to take control or continue the ride. There are no rewards in this mission.. it is just a space ride..and it took the FSX missions tool to make it work. For Freeware only..but ok to mirror to pay sites.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place mission files

    Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
