This repaint showcases Hooter's Air Boeing 737-3G7 registration N750WL, offering a distinctive exterior finish for use in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. It represents textures only and requires the freeware base model by Erick Cantu and the FFX team. The repaint is skillfully crafted by Wes Archibald. The complete airframe file can be found within the Fly Away Simulation library, so ensure you obtain that separately for proper functionality.
Hooter's Air Boeing 737-3G7 Visual Highlights
The Boeing 737-3G7 variant depicted here carries Hooter's Air branding, a short-lived airline operating from the early 2000s. Its vibrant livery stands out, capturing the original color scheme with meticulous attention to detail. You will notice sharply rendered fuselage lettering, accurately placed wing textures, and precise airline insignia. This package reflects the classic short- to medium-haul configuration that once flew travelers across various domestic routes.

Development Origin and 737 Classic Range
This repaint stems from a broader 737 Classic project that traces back to earlier simulator platforms, eventually transitioning to Gmax modeling to cover the -300, -400, and -500 737 family. The evolution of this series has focused on authentic shape, detailed animations, and enhanced texturing. As a result, users can experience the defining contours of the 737-300 along with additional variations in future expansions.
Authentic Animations and Sound Features
All models in the 737 Classic lineup feature fully articulated control surfaces, moving landing gear, and functional doors. Authentic CFM56-3 engine audio is also available as an optional download. These sound files draw from recordings of actual 737 operations, including samples from JAT and Air France aircraft. If you prefer reduced volume for ATC clarity, adjusting the engine volume slider within the simulator ensures a more subdued audio environment.
Key Operational Notes
- Cabin Door
- Press Shift+E to open the primary passenger door. This is consistent with other aircraft in the simulator.
- Airstairs Deployment
- Assign a key to the wing fold function to activate the airstairs. When engaged, it effectively toggles the folded wing state, so stow the stairs before takeoff.
- Canoe Landing Lights
- Earlier 737 variants had retractable landing lights mounted on the flap canoes. You can extend these by assigning a key for the tailhook command, emulating the real aircraft’s mechanism.
Obtaining the Base Model
This package provides the exterior textures only. You must download the freeware base aircraft developed by Erick Cantu and FFX from the Fly Away Simulation library to enjoy all visual and flight dynamics features. The included repaint files install quickly, and once complete, you will experience the characteristic look of Hooter's Air Boeing 737-3G7 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.
