One of three Vikings leased by Eros from Air Safaris. Eros was initially formed in Cyprus during 1957 but in 1962 Eros (UK) came into being to operate IT charters after taking over the former Falcon Airways premises at Gatwick. However the airline found it difficult to get facilities at the airport. Ambitious plans were announced involving DC 6 and Avro 748 aircraft but after a second quiet winter it closed April 1964. G-AHOW had two more operators over the next three years until it was broken up at Manston after withdrawal in September 1967 by Invicta who had acquired it from Air Ferry. Requires the FSDS Viking model by Rick Piper. Repaint by Garry Russell.

My father, George Dudley, was Flight Engineer on this and other Vikings...two entries particularly stand out in his logbook for this plane...
