​FSX Qantas Airbus A380-800. High quality Gmax model of the Airbus A380-800, the world's largest passenger jet. The model includes all the usual things as a steering nose wheel, taxi and landing lights, dynamic shine and all moving parts, including a fully animated landing gear animation. Some special things include three opening doors, with visible interior, flexing wings, wing views and trim animation for the horizontal stabilisers. Model, dynamics and textures by Robert Versluys. Repainted and detailed by Raul Abella.

Installation

Simply run the FSX Qantas Airbus A380-800-Setup.exe install file to install into your copy of FSX, FSX:SE and P3D (all versions). The full source files are also included for manual install if you prefer.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.

  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

I see a lot of comments about the missing 3D (Virtual) cockpit, but none about the fact that the 2D cockpit is nowhere near to looking like the A380 cockpit. This one looks very Boeing to me (the panel config is using the old 747 panels).

I swapped it out for the A321 panel and it looks a lot better.

    The A380 only has the inner engines with reverse thrust not the outer.

    no vc, no dials,no throttles, cant look around cockpit, cant take off, no read me docs to help you. maybe some more info would be good.

    I loved this. It was an excellent model except for one crucial component. It has no virtual cockpit. But aside from that Great Job!

    The white texture is because of a DX10 incompatibility, dissable Preview DX10 or get a DX10 fixer

    when i download the file the plane is totally white and without texture so how to fix that
