FSX PIA Boeing 777-240ER AP-BGL V2

Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 777-240ER AP-BGL v2 recreates the carrier’s updated scheme with the gold accent stripe, oversized Pakistani flag tail, and Urdu PIA engine titles for Flight Simulator X. The complete Project Open Sky package includes a full clickable virtual cockpit, improved flight dynamics, and integrated ground service vehicles.

Pakistan International Airlines B777-240ER v2, registration AP-BGL. It wears PIA's new livery, which was introduced in place of the provincial tail designs. While the basic livery remains the same, there is a golden stripe now under the green one, and the tail wears a large version of the Pakistani flag. The engine casings have the Urdu PIA logo on them. Part of the livery was to have 'PAKISTAN' written on the belly, but this aircraft does not have that yet and so it has not been added to the repaint to keep it as close as possible to the real thing. Features full clickable Project Open Sky virtual cockpit, with latest updates. Contains ground service vehicles, tow truck, catering trucks, stairs, luggage loaders and containers. Updated service packs to improve flight dynamics and performance. Complete pack, requires no external downloads. Repaint by Irfan Khan, exclusively from Virtual PIA.

Installation:

  • Unzip downloaded files to a temporary folder.
  • Copy the "Boeing777-300" gauges into your FSX Gauges folder located by default as below:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Gauges
  • Copy the "msvcr70.dll" into your FSX main directory folder, this file allows FSX to use older gauge files from FS2002 etc.located by default as below:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X (This is the FSX main Directory)
  • Copy & paste the folder "OS772V2_GE90--L_VC_PIA AP-BGL" into your FSX Airplanes folder located by default below:
    OS (C)/Program Files(x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes
  • Copy the contents of the "Effects" folder into your FSX effects folder located by default below:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Effects

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.

  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
