This package offers a detailed Transmile Air livery specifically designed for a freeware Boeing 737-200 model by FSX AI Bureau, including texture sets for both Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. It also provides a custom light map and multiple texture formats so users can adapt the repaint to different preferences or performance requirements. Repaint has been prepared by Mariano Bonaccorso. To fully use this package, you will need the base model available in the Fly Away Simulation library.

Designed for a Malaysian Cargo Specialist

Transmile Air is known for its dedicated cargo operations and was headquartered in Malaysia. Its fleet served regional routes, transporting freight across Southeast Asia. The Boeing 737-200, with its robust JT8D engines (JT8D meaning Joint Technology 8D in some references), provides an ideal option for mid-range cargo flights. This repaint captures the airline’s distinct fuselage markings and tail design, honoring the aircraft’s history as a versatile workhorse in commercial freight services.

Multiple Texture Variations Included

The repaint set contains DXT5 files optimized for current simulators, as well as DXT3 and 32-bit versions for those operating on earlier systems. While 32-bit textures deliver high color fidelity, they may cause stuttering in flight simulators. Consequently, it is advisable to use the DXT5 or DXT3 files for day-to-day flight operations. Users can still maintain the 32-bit version for tool conversions or inspection in model viewers such as FSRepaint or ModelConverterX.

Relevant Maintenance Notes

  • DXT5 format is recommended for Microsoft Flight Simulator X due to its efficient memory usage.
  • DXT3 format suits Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 well, balancing quality and performance.
  • The 32-bit mode is primarily useful for customization or special development purposes.

Configuring This Livery Inside Your Simulator

Once you have copied the texture folder into your chosen aircraft directory, edit the configuration file to reflect this repaint. If you are unfamiliar with the process, consult the documentation that accompanies both the base model and the relevant aircraft container guidelines in the resources provided by your simulator’s SDK. Ensure the “[fltsim.X]” entry uses the correct incremental number. This repaint uses the normal model configuration (meaning no additional logo-light pods on the wings are enabled).

Below is a sample entry you can adapt. Adjust it to fit your unique setup:

[fltsim.X] title=AI B732 TSE sim=FAIB_7372 model=normal texture=TSE atc_airline=TRANSMILE atc_parking_codes=TSE,AHK atc_parking_types=CARGO ui_manufacturer=Boeing ui_type=B737-200 ui_variation=Transmile Air description=ARD Boeing B737-200 for AI

Utilization and Acknowledgments

This texture set does not include the actual Boeing 737-200 model. Please download the freeware base pack created by FSX AI Bureau if you have not already done so. The textures were carefully crafted by Mariano Bonaccorso, who aimed to replicate Transmile Air’s livery as accurately as possible for AI traffic or similar applications. With proper setup, you can enjoy smoother cargo flight scheduling and more realism when simulating aerial logistics in your favorite virtual skies.
