This package provides a specialized texture set representing the Transmile Air (operating on behalf of Gading Sari) Boeing 737-200. The repaint is crafted for the freeware FAIB_B7372.ZIP model by FSX AI Bureau, created by Mariano Bonaccorso. It is a freeware release focusing on cargo operations. Enthusiasts of Microsoft Flight Simulator X or Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 will find both performance-friendly and high-detail formats within the archive, along with a tailored lightmap. The base model is not included in this repaint set. You will locate the necessary FAIB_B7372.ZIP base files in the Fly Away Simulation library.

Distinctive Features of This Livery

  • High-grade textures included in DXT5 (FSX) and DXT3 / 32-bit (FS2004) for enhanced flexibility.
  • Optimized lightmap to ensure proper illumination in simulated cargo ramps and taxiways.
  • Performance-friendly DXT3 format for older simulators and a recommended DXT5 set for those flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator X.
  • A dedicated 32-bit texture (optional for FS2004) for advanced image rendering or conversion if desired.

Installation Procedure

1. Extract the enclosed texture folder into the appropriate “FAIB 737-200” directory found within your AI aircraft repository.

2. Append an entry to your aircraft.cfg file using the structure below. Replace “X” in [fltsim.X] with the next sequential number that fits your setup. Ensure the model=normal parameter aligns with the standard (non-logo-wing) variant.

Important Notes

  • Ensure numbering: Keep [fltsim.X] consistent with your existing sequence.
  • Refrain from 32-bit usage: The 32-bit format may cause stutters in some systems, so only use it if you are performing special edits or require it for an external model viewer.
  • Familiarity with SDK: If you are new to modifying AI traffic or aircraft configurations, consult the relevant SDK documentation to understand container file details and library references.
  • Base model prerequisite: The underlying FAIB_B7372.ZIP model by FSX AI Bureau must be installed beforehand; you can obtain it from the Fly Away Simulation database.

A Glimpse at the Real Boeing 737-200 Variant

This Boeing 737-200 traces its lineage to early short-to-medium-range jets developed by Boeing, typically powered by Pratt & Whitney JT8D engines. Transmile Air, which operated cargo routes as part of Malaysia’s freight network, utilized this classic airframe for both regional and domestic transport under the Gading Sari partnership. With this repaint, the visual fidelity of your AI traffic or dedicated cargo flight operations reflects the authentic appearance of Transmile Air’s Malaysia-based fleet.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
