These are two fictional repaints of the payware Glowingheat Convair B58 Hustler representing the aircraft as it might have appeared in service during the Vietnam conflict. The proposed role of the Hustler was one of low-level pathfinder for F-4 and F-105 strike packets going north from bases in Thailand, but low-level interdiction with iron bombs or laser-guided munitions carried internally in modified pods or externally, would have been just as feasible. The first paint represents a B-58D which could have been a version optimized for low-level missions, allocated to the 305th Bomb Wing and christened 'Tondalayo'. The second represents an earlier B-58 leased to the Royal Australian Air Force allocated to No. 1 Squadron. Either can be configured with an ALBM instead of pods. By Dave Quincey.
