This freeware repaint enhances the IRIS Raptor Driver payware model with the distinctive markings of the 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron. Although the real-world squadron operates at Nellis AFB, the 53rd Wing is headquartered at Eglin AFB. Created by S. Peterson, this texture set brings an authentic look to Lockheed Martin’s F-22 as flown by the United States Air Force. Compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it adds a detailed layer of immersion for those who appreciate both technical accuracy and operational realism.
Key Livery Elements for the Raptor
422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron Heritage
The 422nd TES conducts advanced operational testing on cutting-edge fighter aircraft. Their F-22s are known for rigorous evaluation missions that refine tactics and technology. Incorporating their markings in this repaint underscores the specialized work done by the 422nd within the broader 53rd Wing structure.

Livery Details
This repaint features the “OT-068” tail code and unit-specific emblems. It was carefully crafted using the IRIS paint kit (a layered set of painting templates). Each .dds (DirectDraw Surface) texture file preserves the subtle camouflage tones and aircraft markings associated with this squadron.
Installing the 422nd TES Repaint
- Transfer the “texture.Eglin” folder into your IRIS Raptor Driver directory. This folder contains all necessary textures.
- In your aircraft configuration file (aircraft.cfg), add the following section, substituting XX with the next fltsim index number:

Important Notes
- This repaint requires the IRIS Raptor Driver payware model, which is not included in this package.
- Ensure you update the “title” entry to avoid duplicates in your simulator.
- S. Peterson is the author/developer of this repaint set, while IRIS Flight Simulation Software created the base model.
Background on the F-22 Raptor
The Lockheed Martin F-22 introduces advanced stealth characteristics, vectored thrust, and integrated avionics. Originally intended for unrivaled air dominance, it also serves in roles such as precision strikes and electronic warfare. These unique capabilities make the Raptor a formidable fixture in modern simulation platforms, including Microsoft Flight Simulator X, especially with accurate liveries to complement its authentic flight model.
