The nearby North Cascades Vintage Aircraft Museum adds an extra layer of historical charm by featuring classic aircraft on display. Overall, this is a delightful and immersive scenery enhancement that offers a fresh perspective on a beloved regional airport.

Mears Field, or formerly known as Concrete Municipal Airfield is a small airport in northern Washington.

Aerial view of Mears Field airport.It is located along the Skagit river, just south of Lake Shannon and Baker Lake, and just south of mount Baker. An incredibly scenic area within the Cascade Range, great for mountain flying (as weather permits). Mears Field has a relatively short paved runway and high trees on both runways end, making it a very tricky airport.

It also is home to some wonderful historic aircraft from the North Cascades Vintage Aircraft Museum and hosts many fly-ins. Plenty of Fairchild, Luscombe and Waco aircraft to be found! Nearly all airport buildings have been custom built purely based on readily available imagery. Off-airfield buildings are library versions. Library requirements are listed in the package.

l enjoy anything to do with Flight sims, started in 1998, and haven't stopped yet. My favorites are FS2020 and Xplane 11. Always check out your notices/letters. Full of interest. Many thanks, F Attwood.
