This scenery for X-Plane 11/10 recreates the tranquil EBZU Zuienkerke Airfield near Belgium’s west coast, providing an inviting grass strip that rewards short-field flying skills. It captures the rural charm of the region with library-based structures and realistic ground details, offering a peaceful place for quick hops in ultralight or light aircraft.

Although primarily intended for small planes, some rotorcraft aficionados may still find room to demonstrate finesse on this compact runway. From my longtime experience with flight sims, I find this airfield a delightful spot for practicing takeoffs and landings while soaking up a scenic Belgian countryside atmosphere.

Zuienkerke is a tiny ULM strip near the Belgian west coast. Located in a rural landscape it provides a nice place for a stop over in your light aircraft.

Aerial view of the grass runway. Helicopters and legacy aircraft are technically not allowed, but it should be enjoyed by anyone capable of using such a short strip. This scenery was built using mostly library objects but could be heavy on some lower end computers.

How to install this mod

X-Plane scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Copy into Custom Scenery

Place the scenery folder into X-Plane 12/Custom Scenery/.
Set scenery load order

X-Plane loads sceneries top-to-bottom from Custom Scenery/scenery_packs.ini. Custom airports should be ABOVE mesh and ortho-imagery.
Restart X-Plane

Close X-Plane completely and relaunch. The new content loads automatically.
