X-Plane vFlyteAir Ryan Navion 205 Vintage Freeware

Ryan Navion 205 Vintage recreates a time-worn 1950 four-seat classic with period-correct gauges, a POH-matched panel, and a richly detailed virtual cockpit for X-Plane 11. It brings PBR textures, FMOD audio, custom HDR lighting, full animation, VR optimization, and an AviTab eTablet integration for cockpit-ready reference.

X-Plane 11

This is a 1950 Ryan Navion 205 freeware model for X-Plane 11.2 or newer.

Now version 1.2.

Ryan Navion in flight.The author had always wanted to create a vintage-style version of the Navion, so here she is! Check out the time-worn interiors and period-correct gauges. The instrument panel is laid out almost exactly as shown in the 1950 Navion 205 POH (which is included as a PDF with the download).

If you're a fan of retro and vintage airplanes, you'll love the 1950 Navion 205 Vintage. The Navion 205 Vintage is optimized for VR and features PBR textures, FMOD sounds, and custom HDR lights.

Tested with X-Plane 11.10, 11.25, and 11.30Beta3. It also integrates Folko's amazing AviTab plugin as a windscreen-mounted eTablet.

The model is fully animated with a 3D cockpit and hi-res textures. Please see the included documentation for further details.

Version 1.1 includes many fixes and changes and these are detailed in the package.

How to install this mod

X-Plane add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place per readme

    X-Plane add-ons go into Aircraft/ (planes), Custom Scenery/ (airports, mesh), or Resources/plugins/ (plugins).

  3. Restart X-Plane

    Close X-Plane completely and relaunch. The new content loads automatically.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
