These tweaks aim to replicate the genuine feel of a 2-aisle commercial jet, ensuring lifelike lift and drag profiles during climb, cruise, and descent.
Visual Improvements and Lighting Details
Incorporation of A2A 3D Lights & Redux introduces more immersive illumination, especially noticeable during night operations. The external light sources, positioned on the fuselage and wings, add heightened realism both from cockpit perspectives and external views. These modifications retain the authentic aesthetic intent of the original creator while elevating the overall appearance for modern hardware.
Opening Cowlings and Ground Services
Access the jet’s engine bay by pressing Shift + E, revealing detailed engine internals under normal airport maintenance procedures. For those who enjoy realistic boarding sequences, pressing Ctrl + J aligns the jetway with the forward door. These features capture the functionality of the real-world aircraft, which is often praised for its efficient ground turnaround capabilities.
Meljet’s classic design philosophy ensured high-fidelity modeling of control surfaces, engine components, and fuselage details. Installation Notes
- Extract the Aircraft folder into the .../FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes directory.
- Select Meljet under the aircraft manufacturer menu to locate this package in-sim.
- All essential components are included for immediate use. However, employing A2A 3D Lights & Redux ensures optimal lighting performance.
This add-on has been verified on Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows XP, but users of more recent operating systems typically report smooth operation as well. can make it compatible with sp1?
VC cockpit is half of a black screen and thats about it. Also I notice when i'm flying straight it looks like the airplane isn't level but more so angled upwards.
Does it have a virtual cockpit?
Meljet models are always without virtual cockpit right?
