FSX SP2 Cessna 150

SP2 Cessna 150. repaint textures for the freeware RanchoJEN Cessna 150 v2 by J.E. Narcizo. This repaint fixes mismatched textures and wrong colors on some parts, and changes some dimensions of some paint features in an attempt to bring a more visually appealing version of the RanchoJEN Cessna 150 to FSX-SP2. INSTALLATION:

1.) Install the freeware RanchoJEN Cessna 150 v.2 into FSX. Delete the panel and sound from both the tri-gear model and the taildragger model and replace them by copying and pasting the panel and sound from your default FSX Cessna172. Now your 150's will display in FSX-SP2.

2.) Open the enclosed folder "For Taildragger" and copy and paste the "texture.N2773L" folder into your RanchoJEN Taildragger folder.

3.) Open the enclosed folder "For Tri-Gear" and copy and paste the "texture.N2773L" folder into your RanchoJEN Tri-Gear folder.

4.) Open your Tri-Gear "aircraft.cfg" file and copy and paste into it the corresponding info. below in the proper logically sequential order among your Tri-Gear repaints, remembering to change the "X" in [fltsim.X] to the next number in line.

5.) Repeat step #4 above for your Taildragger version.

The limitations of this 150 when used in FSX-SP2 result in a 2D cockpit which I find unsuitable due to poor angle of vision out the front windscreen. You can drag the 2D panel down a bit to improve the forward view, but you will see a lot of ground and not enough sky. Great for ground patrol! Lousy for cloud watching! The VC cockpit view will still display, and is much better than the 2D view, but you will see no gauges in VC mode. If you prefer flying from inside the aircraft, you will probably be disappointed. I prefer flying from outside the aircraft and my whole purpose in attempting this repaint was to see if the numerous faults with the original model's paint could be overcome and result in a reasonably visually pleasing Cessna 150 when used in spot, fly-by and tower views. This paint was saved in 32 bit for clarity, yet still provides very good frame rates, at least on my computer. I had not planned on uploading this paint to the world, but I was so pleasantly surprised with the aircraft's appearance once this paint was finished, I thought I had better share it.
