FSX Army OV-1 'Sunshines' Ride'

Army OV-1 Sunshines Ride. Textures only; a repaint of Tim Conrad's OV 1 Mohawk (OV1D_TNR.ZIP). The Grumman OV-1D Mohawk was a U.S. Army battlefield observation and recon aircraft; also used for electronic warfare and monitoring by altering the sensors and their configuration. Easily recognized by the triple fin tail and top mounted engine nacelles, in addition to the low slung Side Looking Airborne Radar S.L.A.R. external pod. Early Mohawks saw action in Viet Nam as armed attack planes, being called the JOV-1A. Painted in a U.S. Army OD green. Aircraft is entitled "Sunshines Ride". Modified for Flight Simulator X and textures by Mark Rooks of RSDG.

To install this aircraft:

As always back up any original files.

1.Unzip downloaded folders to your desktop or temporary directory of your choice.

2.Copy the "Army OV 1 Mohawk " folder and paste it in the main aircraft folder.

3. Install the Guages and Panel.

4. Use the default sound file from a King Air due to size 34 mb cannot upload.

By default the main aircraft folder is located at:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSx\SIM Objects /Aircraft .

Note this aircraft has Air brakes and a moving camera pod on the wing that has a real time view.

Personal note: My wife flew many many hours in the right seat of a OV1 Mohawk this airfile and CFG was written with a lot of specs and input from Army personal ( My Wife ) from personal experience .. Her nick name was Sunshine .. Sunshine's Ride.
